I.F. Stone Fellowships are available to students at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley. There are three internships available (either summer for 8-10 weeks, or winter inter-session for 6-8 weeks), each with a modest stipend.
Nominations are made by the Journalism School with final selection by Human Rights Watch. The I.F. Stone Internships are funded through a gift to HRW by Berkeley alumnus Steven Silberstein, a retired businessman whose company pioneered software systems for large international libraries, and a major donor to the Graduate School of Journalism at Berkeley.)
There appears to be also a UC Berkeley IF Stone award for International Investigative Reporting at UC Berkeley and one for Excellence in Investigative/Human Rights Reporting.
